Project Info

At the start of a new Formula 1 season with a major regulatory reset, all eyes in motorsport were on team liveries and driver helmets. We developed a concept merging two of the world's most recognised brands (McDonald's and Formula 1) by imagining a limited-edition helmet collection for every team on the grid. The brief was self-initiated: create content that rides the peak of cultural attention around the F1 season launch.

Key Details

We designed and rendered photorealistic 3D helmets for each F1 team, incorporating McDonald's brand elements into each team's official colour palette and livery language. Each helmet was rendered with physically-based materials: carbon fibre, gloss lacquer, chrome visors, matching the quality standard of official team merchandise. The video was cut with authentic F1 sound design including engine ignition, crowd ambience and team radio. The result sounds and looks like an official brand collaboration announcement.

Result

The production demonstrates MAD CGI's ability to create brand collaboration content at a level indistinguishable from officially commissioned work, without a client budget or brand approval process. For brands and agencies watching: this is what a 4-week brief looks like when execution matches the ambition.
