Boots, one of the UK's largest beauty and pharmacy retailers, needed a CGI product campaign that could showcase their own-brand products with cinematic quality and visual precision. The brief was to create product visuals that communicated premium positioning while remaining accessible and clear for a mainstream retail audience. The campaign needed to meet Boots' strict brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries.
Key Details
MAD CGI developed a CGI production workflow tailored to Boots' product range and brand standards. Each product was built as a photorealistic 3D asset, allowing for unlimited camera angles, lighting setups and colourway variations — all from a single 3D model. The visual style balanced clinical clarity with warm, aspirational lighting to match the brand's positioning. Final deliverables included static renders and motion versions for digital advertising and in-store screens.
Result
The CGI product campaign gave Boots a scalable visual production system — capable of generating new assets from existing 3D models without additional cost. The final visuals were deployed across digital advertising, e-commerce product listings and in-store point-of-sale. The quality of the CGI renders matched and in several cases exceeded what traditional photography could achieve, while reducing time-to-market and production overhead significantly.
